(02:46) β€ŠPlateaus can be discouraging, but they don't mean that you've hit a dead end. People get so frustrated that they give up. I don't want anybody to think that just because they've hit a plateau, it means they're done. In fact, the plateaus are an opportunity to reassess and make adjustments.

(09:25) As time goes on, after we get started, our motivation will naturally wane because there's just drudgery and we haven't met our goal yet. The tasks that are required, the meal planning and the food prep are super important, but it's tedious and it's time consuming, and this is what I mean by the Messy Middle. We tend to lose our initial motivation and our primitive brain starts to rebel.

(22:35) It's always important to remember that weight loss is not linear, we want to stay consistent and patient. If you want to be a healthy person, you can never go back to eating junk food; you want to get into the habit of thinking about food as a way to nourish your body and not a way to entertain yourself with sugar and flour induced dopamine hits.

Remember, stay consistent, and stay patient. Your body is undergoing incredible changes. And it's making internal adjustments all the time. Even if the scale doesn't necessarily reflect it, even if the body composition test doesn't reflect it, you are eliminating toxins, you're getting healthier. You want to celebrate all the non-scale victories that you have, focus on all the positive changes that you're experiencing and trust in the process.
